A&P Licensing Steps

Obtain letters of experience from your employers. To see example letter of experience click here. Minimum 30 months experience per FAR 65 for both ratings or 18 months for one rating.

Interview with an FAA Inspector and obtain the FAA sign-off / FAA Form 8610-2 permission to test. Out of state and international students complete step 3 prior to step 2. 

Register in our FAA A&P Preparation Course and begin the online preparation portion of the course. Out of state and international students will complete step 3 prior to step 2.

Attend the classroom / shop FAA A&P Preparation Course in Miami. During the course complete the FAA Written Exams at our FAA Testing Center. 

Successfully complete the FAA Oral & Practical Exam and obtain your FAA A&P Ratings.
