Description
This course will train the technician in the specific systems of the aircraft, their functions and normal operation in flight and on the ground, along with an initial understanding and application of the Minimum Equipment List, FIM & FRM and CDL.
Training and Objective
This course is designed to train the student with the knowledge to perform MRO Base Maintenance Tasks along with Line Maintenance Transit and Overnight Checks.
Course Objectives
This course satisfies ATA 104 Level 1 objectives. Upon completion of the course, the students will understand:
- Safety precautions when near and around the aircraft in the hangars and at the gate.
- Electrical AC & DC Generation, Pneumatics, Air Conditioning, Fuel System & Refueling Procedures, Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Landing Gear, Ice/Rain, Fire Protection, Oxygen, Water/Waste, Equipment Furnishings, Lights, Doors and Windows, APU and Engine System functions.
- Locations of the principal components in the Aircraft Systems listed and access to those components. Identify normal and non-normal indications provided by aircraft instruments and Flight Deck displays.
- Aircraft troubleshooting with reference to the FIM/FRM, application of the MEL and the CDL.
- Avionics Systems to a general description and understating in Communications, Auto Pilot, Glass Cockpit & Instruments, EICAS, ECAM, EFIS, CMC & MAT, Navigation systems, along with CVR & FDR functions.
