OSHA Courses

Our OSHA Courses are developed depending on the needs of the organization. Our core course covers OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures in general industry. This course covers an introduction to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the OSHA Act for owners, managers and employees. Upon course completion students will understand will have the ability to define general industry terms found in the OSHA General Industry Standards, identify hazards which occur in general industry, locate and determine appropriate OSHA General Industry Standards and policies to supplement an ongoing safety and health program.

Course topics include:

1. An introduction to OSHA
2. OSHA Standards.
3. The inspection process.
4. Implementing a safety and health program that includes:
   1. Materials Inventory - A list of the hazardous materials present in your work area.
   2. Material Safety Data Sheets - A detailed description of each hazardous material listed in the Materials Inventory.
   3. Labeling - Containers of hazardous materials must have labels which identify the material and warn of its potential hazard to employees.
   4. Training - All employees must be trained to identify and work safely with hazardous materials.
   5. Written Program - A written program must be developed which ties all of the above together.
